According to a survey on spending habits in Singapore in light of the hike in goods and services tax (GST) conducted in February 2022, more than ** percent of respondents who said that they would maintain or reduce their spending, stated that they would cut down on dining out and buying take-away. Cutting back on food expenditure, be it dining out or food delivery orders, were the leading ways in which Singaporean consumers planned to reduce their spending.
