As of 2024, Egypt had three natural gas regasification plants: the Ain Sokhna FSRU 1 plant, the Ain Sokhna FSRU 2 plant, and the Ain Sokhna FSRU - Hoegh Gallant plant. The Ain Sokhna FSRU 1 plant had a regasification capacity of million tons per annum. The Ain Sokhna FSRU 2 plant had a larger capacity of *** million tons per annum.
