As of 2024, Egypt had two natural gas liquefaction plants, the IDKU Egyptian LNG plant, located East of Alexandria, and the Damietta plant. IDKU Egyptian LNG plant had two liquefaction trains with a combined capacity of *** million tons per annum. Furthermore, the Damietta plant consisted of one liquefaction train, which had a capacity of *** million tons per annum.
