Egypt's natural gas consumption reached **** billion cubic meters in 2024. Compared to the previous year, this was a decrease from ** billion cubic meters. Overall, natural gas consumption in the country increased compared to 2011, dropping between 2013 and 2015, and from 2019 to 2020. Between 2015 and 2018, the country consumed more natural gas than it produced. On the contrary, the trend has been reversed in recent years, making the country able to export the excess on the international market.
