Respondents answered 53 questions related to financial literacy in eight different categories, including 26 knowledge and judgment questions and 27 questions related to behavior and ways of thinking. The share of correctly answered questions here refers to the 26 knowledge and judgment questions.
The sample roughly approximates the composition of age and gender in each of Japan's 47 prefectures in the 2020 population census.
