In a scenario in which European countries pursue a policy of supporting low carbon fuels such as fossil hydrogen, imports of fossil gas are projected to increase. To cover a projected supply shortfall after the fallout of the Russia-Ukraine war, *** billion cubic meters of fossil gas would have to be imported in 2030. The total demand for fossil gas in Europe in 2030 is forecast to reach *** billion cubic meters that year.
