Trinidad and Tobago has the largest share of natural gas in primary energy consumption worldwide. In 2024, the Caribbean country sourced ** percent of its primary energy from natural gas. Natural gas resource-rich countries are also some of the most reliant on this fuel type. For example, in Iran, natural gas accounts for some ****Â percent of primary energy used.
