 Wine tourism in South Africa has arisen as a lucrative area for special-interest tourism, which is an additional benefit to the country’s wine industry and economy. Although most wine tourists in 2022 were locals, the lesser number of foreign tourists were more likely to spend a sizable amount on wine per person. This provides an additional source of income for micro wine farms and especially assists them with staying afloat.
