Employment in the worldwide energy sector is unevenly distributed across gender and ethnic groups. In 2022, about two thirds of energy sector jobs were held by men. Broken down by ethnicity, energy sector employment was even more unevenly distributed, with ** percent of the sector's jobs held by white employees.
