As of November 2019, chief financial officers (CFOs) at oil and gas, and power generation organizations in the United States had similar projections on how the renewable energy mix would look by 2023, with solar energy dominating the market. However, hydropower was a point of divergence, as ** percent of the oil and gas CFOs considered this source of energy as the second most dominant, while only ** percent of the power generation CFOs shared the same opinion.
