Winning by a landslide vote, Bongbong Marcos received the highest share of votes during the national elections conducted on May 9, 2022 in the Philippines. Results were based on the tally coming from more than 98 percent of precincts nationwide. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., also known as Bongbong, was a former senator and the son of former president Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. His closest competitor, Leni Robredo, received about 28 percent of the total votes as of this period.
