During the recently concluded elections in the Philippines on May 9, 2022, actor Robin Padilla generated the highest share of votes amongst senatorial candidates with about 48 percent. Padilla was followed closely by former senator Loren Legarda who held over 43 percent of the total votes. During this election, the country elected 12 senators that will join the other 12 existing senators who won in the 2019 general elections.
