Between 2010 and 2021, the number of beds in oncology wards in China more than doubled, exceeding ** in 2021. During the same period, the demand for cancer treatments also surged dramatically in the country, with the number of new cancer cases exceeding *** million in 2020. The capacity of cancer treatment services varied significantly between regions, with the provinces of Henan, Shandong, and Jiangsu having the highest number of beds in cancer wards.
