Citation formats

In 2021, the approval rating of the Russian leadership was higher among West African countries. For instance, in Mali, 84 percent of the respondents supported the leadership of Russia. Côte d'Ivoire and Guinea followed with an approval rate of 71 percent and 67 percent, respectively. On the other hand, support was lower in Eastern and Southern African countries. For example, 22 percent of the Zambian respondents supported the Russian leadership, while in South Africa the rate was 30 percent. Moreover, the approval rating in African countries was higher than globally.
