According to a global survey conducted in February 2022, ** percent of men and ** percent of women agreed that it was mainly men's fault that online abuse is a problem today. The country in which respondents were most likely to agree with this statement was Brazil, with ** percent of men and ** percent of women feeling that online abuse was a problem mostly due to men. Opinions of this same sentiment were seen in Turkey, in which ** percent of men agreed, and ** percent of women agreed that men were to blame for online abuse. In contrast, just ** percent of men and ** percent of women in Japan agreed that online abuse issues were men's fault.
