According to a survey conducted in Mexico in 2021, only **** percent of respondents very frequently consulted a doctor by telephone. This was also true for consultations via WhatsApp chat. Meanwhile, **** percent of respondents claimed to have been very frequently communicating with their doctors through video calls. However, close to ** percent and ** percent of interviewees had consulted a physician by telephone or WhatsApp chat at least once, respectively. Video calls were less common.
