The demand for psychiatric healthcare services in China increased significantly in the past decade. In 2021, despite the impact of COVID-19, psychiatric hospitals in China still treated over *** million inpatients, doubling the figures from 2015. The number of beds in Chinese psychiatric wards also rose sharply during the same period, addressing the needs of the general public.
