In 2020, Africa imported around 20.3 million U.S. dollars in cocoa beans. Compared to most of the previous years studied, the value decreased. In 2015, a peak of cocoa bean imports amounting to over 65 million U.S. dollars was registered. The continent is a leading producer of cocoa beans worldwide.
