In 2024, Ethiopia was the leading cereal producer in Africa, with its output amounting to over million metric tons. This was followed by Nigeria and Egypt with around million and million metric tons in production, respectively. On the other hand, Djibouti and Cabo Verde recorded the lowest levels of cereal production among the African countries.
