As of 2024, Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana were the leading exporters of cocoa beans in Africa. The countries exported the agricultural product in a value of about **** billion and **** billion U.S. dollars, respectively. Nigeria, Cameroon, and Guinea were other main exporters on the continent. On the whole, Africa is a key player in the global cocoa market.
