Doping occurs when an athlete uses prohibited substances or methods to improve their results in training and competitions. This practice is forbidden for any athlete participating in a competition or sporting event, such as the Olympics, and anti-doping tests are regularly carried out. Of the over *** thousand samples analyzed in 2021, around **** percent of those taken for Olympic sports reported an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF).
