The survey included a total of 27,607 respondents, of which:
- 11,148 Tunisians non migrants;
- 6,475 returnees;
- 7,003 migrants;
- 2,981 foreigners residing in Tunisia (immigrants).
According to a survey conducted between 2020 and 2021, over **** percent of Tunisians living in the South Eastern region would consider leaving the country illegally due to an unsuccessful visa application process. The share of respondents considering illegal emigration was considerably lower in the North Western region, at less than *** percent.
