The survey included a total of 27,607 respondents, of which:
- 11,148 Tunisians non migrants;
- 6,475 returnees;
- 7,003 migrants;
- 2,981 foreigners residing in Tunisia (immigrants).

Potential reasons to emigrate abroad from Tunisia 2021, by gender
According to a survey conducted between 2020 and 2021, the main reasons for which Tunisians intended to move abroad were to improve their income, working, and living conditions. Reasons to emigrate differed between men and women. For instance, more female respondents intended to emigrate to pursue education (**** percent, as against **** percent among men). On the other hand, a higher share of men would leave the country to find a job (**** percent, as against **** percent among women).
