The survey included a total of 27,607 respondents, of which:
- 11,148 Tunisians non migrants;
- 6,475 returnees;
- 7,003 migrants;
- 2,981 foreigners residing in Tunisia (immigrants).

Potential reasons to emigrate abroad from Tunisia 2021
According to a survey conducted between 2020 and 2021, over ** percent of Tunisians intended to move abroad to improve their income and working conditions. Improving living conditions was the main reason for nearly ** percent of respondents, while around ** percent intended to emigrate to find a job. Pursuing education abroad was a factor pushing approximately ** percent of Tunisians to leave their country.
