The United States was the world's largest producer of beryl as of 2022, with a production volume of 4,330 metric tons. U.S. beryl production amounted to 5,100 metric tons in 2015.Â
Beryl is a mineral composed of beryllium aluminum cyclosilicate. Emerald and aquamarine gemstones are among the most well-known varieties of beryl.
