It was estimated that in 2023 around ** percent of the population aged 15 and older in Spain had been diagnosed with chronic allergies, the most affected region in relative figures was La Rioja. However, Asturias was the community with the largest share of people within this age group diagnosed with asthma, with around percent of the population affected. The area with both the lowest share of asthma and chronic allergy diagnoses was Melilla.
