It was estimated that in 2023 around 13 percent of the population aged 15 and older in Spain had been diagnosed with chronic allergies, the most affected region in absolute figures was the Community of Madrid. Madrid was also the community with the largest amount of people diagnosed with asthma. The area with the least amount of asthma and chronic allergy diagnoses was Melilla, with individuals diagnosed with asthma and with chronic allergies.
