Large companies in Africa resorted mainly to commercial banks for their financial solutions in 2020 in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In a survey, ** percent of the company-respondents indicated this as their approached funding sources. Moreover, ** percent of large-business funding requests constituted state or public sector loans. Overall, commercial banks were the major sources of funding for micro, small, medium, and large enterprises operating in the African region.
