While the Minister of Higher Education has decided to install menstrual protection dispensers in universities for the start of the academic year 2021, menstruation has recently been highlighted in the media and politics. It is in this context that the source wanted to know more about the uses of menstruating people in terms of sanitary protection. Yet, it appears that, although new types of menstrual protection have appeared in recent years, such as the cup, period panties, or washable protection, they are still used relatively rarely. In 2021, less than ** percent of French people earning between and euros per month said they would be willing to use a cup as menstrual protection. On the other hand, this proportion rose to ** percent among people belonging to the most affluent classes.
