In 2021, ** percent of French people affiliated to the France Insoumise party were supportive of the general principle of public funding of religious services, compared to ** percent of those supporting Les Républicains. Support for this principle was substantially higher among residents of the Alsace-Moselle region, where the concordat regime, in force between 1802 and 1905 in France, is still in effect.
