As of December 31, 2024, the Department of Energy reported about megawatts of installed capacity of commercial renewable energy projects in the Philippines. Commercial solar energy projects had the largest installed capacity at megawatts, followed by geothermal energy. 

Renewable energy projects in the country were created in fulfillment of the Renewable Energy Act of 2008 which encourages the development, use, and commercialization of renewable energy sources.
