Germany is consistently the biggest contributor to transportation-related GHG emissions in the European Union. Nevertheless, the country reduced emissions from this sector by almost ** percent between 2000 and 2023, to *** million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCOâ‚‚e). In comparison, transportation emissions in Poland more than doubled over this period, to ** ²Ñ³Ù°ä°¿â‚‚e.
