Number of participants in SAATHI webinars in India Sep-Nov 2020, by hotel type
Between September and November 2020, a total of participants from the hospitality industry took part in webinars within the "system for assessment, awareness and training for hospitality industry" (SAATHI) initiative by the Indian Ministry of Tourism. The vast majority of participants were employed in hotels, followed by resorts and bed and breakfast facilities.
The Hindi word "Saathi" means "partner" or "companion" in English. The SAATHI initiative aims at training staff from the hospitality industry in measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Participants first conducted a self-certification before attending webinars.
