According to a December 2021 survey, around ** percent of American adults felt better about their ability to buy a home in 2022 in comparison to 2021. Millennials had the most positive attitude, with ** percent feeling more confident, compared to ** percent feeling less confident. The survey did not take into account whether respondents were planning a home purchase or not.
The homeownership rate in the U.S. has been growing since 2016, but in 2021, it measured a slight decrease.
