In 2023, France was planning to invest almost 53 billion euros of its 2024 budget in green investments. Around three billion euros of this amount will be invested in projects that have a neutral impact on the environment, such as the modernization of the railway infrastructure. This country aims to lead the path towards the energy transition and to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement before the deadline. However, almost 11 billion euros will be invested on assets without a favorable impact on the environment. These expenses will mainly target fossil fuels.
