In Morocco in 2020, ** percent, ** percent, and ** percent of households had children in primary school, middle school, and higher education, respectively. As of the same period, most of the enrollees in primary and middle schools in the country were more susceptible to forgo participation in distance learning activities put in place due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This was represented by ** percent of respondent households (for primary school) and ** percent of households (for middle school).
On the other hand, ** percent and ** percent of households had distance learning participants in secondary and higher education, respectively, who took part on a regular basis. Overall, distance learning activities during the pandemic were more unfound among enrolled children who lived in rural areas than in urban areas.
