Based on land use, carbon footprint was the largest ecological footprint of humans in 2020. This was followed by cropland footprint (food, fiber, oil and feed crops, including rubber). Ecological footprint is a measure of how much demand human consumption places on the biosphere and compares it to the regenerative capacity of ecosystems.
