This represented a penetration rate of nearly ** percent, meaning that more than half of the population had internet access. Consequently, revenues generated by internet access have been projected to exceed *** billion U.S. dollars in the West African country, following an increasing trend.

Mobile connections and subscriptions

There were **** million mobile connections in Ghana in January 2025, most of which were pre-paid connections.
