According to a survey conducted in Japan in August 2024, more than ** percent of respondents in their sixties feel insecure or rather insecure when using the internet. Although the majority of respondents across almost all age groups shared this experience, the share was considerably smaller among younger generations. In total, **** percent of respondents felt insecure or rather insecure when using the internet. The same survey also showed that the leading reason for people to feel this way was a possible leak of their personal information or internet usage history.
