The Greater Bay Area is Chinese's government's scheme linking the cities of Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, Jiangmen, and Zhaoqing into an integrated economic and business hub.
In this survey, the Greater Bay Area figures include Hong Kong and the nine mainland China cities listed above. Data for Macau consumers is not available.
The respondents were almost evenly split between Hong Kong and those across the nine mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area.

According to the survey among respondents from the Greater Bay Area of China, about ** percent of the mainland respondents who used digital payments in the past 12 months said that they used Alipay and WeChat Pay, while Alipay was chosen by ** percent and WeChat Pay by ** percent of the respondents from Hong Kong. Only ** percent of the surveyed mainland consumers used Paypal.
