As of 2025, * was the leading craft beer brand ranked by sales in the on-trade channel in the United Kingdom. During the 12 months ended October 4, 2025, its sales amounted to approximately *** million British pounds. 

BrewDog’s market position

The Scottish company BrewDog was founded in 2007. Based in Ellon, the company not only brews beer but also operates a pub chain. On the UK market, half of the top ten craft beers sold off-trade (in retail) were BrewDog branded products. The BrewDog Punk IPA (India Pale Ale) was the leading BrewDog craft beer off-trade. That an IPA is topping this list is hardly surprising, since IPAs are the country’s favorite beer type.

On-trade sales volumes

Between 2022 and 2024, on-trade sales (pubs, restaurants, etc.) of craft beers declined by over ** percent. With the acquisition of BrewDog by Tilray Brands, Inc. in 2026 and the subsequent closure of bars, on-trade sales and the craft beer market overall will be further affected by these changes.
