In 2021, EP Petroecuador's gasoline sales amounted to some 28.4 thousand barrels, an increase of 21 percent in comparison to the previous year. Similarly, the company's diesel sales recorded a year-over-year growth of 18.2 percent.
In April 2020, EP Petroecuador's fuel sales in Ecuador dropped by an average of 40 percent in comparison to the previous month, as lockdown measures were implemented in an attempt to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Gasoline sales were the most affected, dropping by more than half in the interval.
