The number of people initiating treatment for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) against the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in France has been rising over the years. During the first semester of 2016, over ** French people started such a preventive treatment. From January to June 2021, more than ** people started taking Truvada or a generic equivalent.
