There was a rapid reduction in fluoride emission intensity in ³§Ã¸»å±ð°ù²ú±ð°ù²µ aluminum production between 2008 and 2023, a trend which was interrupted by a 2019 increase. It had risen to approximately **** kilograms of fluoride per ton of aluminum in 2020 before decreasing to **** in 2023. Fluoride emissions from primary aluminum production include perfluorocarbons, powerful greenhouse gases, as well as hydrogen fluorides, which are harmful to plants.
