Germany was the leading aluminum exporter in 2024, exporting around **** billion U.S. dollars of aluminum, significantly more than its imports that year. It was closely followed by the Netherlands and Russia, which both exported more aluminum than they bought from other countries. Germany was the main aluminum consumer in Europe, in part due to the metal’s popular use in the transportation industry.
