Mexico: number of international tourist arrivals 2019-2020, by mode of transport
In April 2020, Mexico saw a drop in the monthly number of international visitors arriving in the country by air and by road. That month, **** thousand foreign visitors traveled to the North American country by land and even less did so by air. This shows a decrease of nearly ** percent in the number of foreign tourists in the country when compared to the previous month, and a **** percent decrease in relation to the same month in 2019. This fall in inbound tourism in Mexico was associated to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting global lockdown.
