Monthly occupancy rate = number of hospitalized patients* at the end of the month / number of hospitals bed at the end of the month x 100
*The number of hospitalized patients refers to inpatients who occupy a bed at midnight each day, regardless of the number of beds initially designated for certain diseases. The number of patients occupying beds designated for patients with infectious diseases includes the number of patients occupying beds designated for patients with common diseases as an emergency measure. The bed occupancy rate for patients with infectious diseases can, therefore, exceed 100 percent.
