Latin America: change in consumer device unit sales due to COVID-19 2020
After the novel coronavirus outbreak, forecast for consumer device shipments in Latin America changed significantly. Originally, smartphone shipments in the region were forecast to decrease by 0.2 percent in 2020. However, the revised forecast indicates a decrease between 10 and 15 percent. Unit sales of wearable devices were projected to increase between 15 and 19 percent regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic.
