In a survey conducted in December 2019, close to ** percent of respondents aged 70 years and older agreed that the Tokyo 2020 Olympics would increase their personal interest in health promotion. As for the group aged 18 to 29 years old, only approximately ** percent of respondents foresaw a positive impact of the 2020 Olympics on their own health consciousness.
The Summer Olympics were scheduled to take place between 24 July and 9 August in 2020, being held for the second time in the Japanese capital.
