A study conducted in the United States about diversity in Hollywood and awards shows revealed that the majority of adults were not concerned about racial or gender diversity in the industry, however upon being shown the facts and figures on the topic, some changed their minds. Before having been aware of the data when it came to the number of nominations and wins received by women and men of each ethnicity, 52 percent said that they were not concerned about racial diversity, a figure which decreased by ten percent upon seeing facts regarding the matter.
